It’s no secret that the townies on Gilmore Girls are one of the best parts of the beloved show — the other best part is Jess, but that’s neither here nor there. Of the townies, there are few that inspire the love that Kirk (Sean Gunn) does. From his awkward nature to his love for Lulu to his tendency to name animals after himself, Kirk is certainly one of a kind.

The thing that makes Kirk truly unique, though, is his insane work ethic and affinity at acquiring multiple jobs. In season 5, episode 21, Kirk tells Luke, “I’ve been working for eleven years, Luke. I’ve had fifteen thousand jobs.”

While fifteen thousand seems a little extreme, it’s quickly evident that Kirk’s jobs are a huge part of his identity. Kirk dresses up as a hot dog, drives a pedicab, announces a hockey game, and even delivers swans for the sake of a paycheck. Throughout all seven seasons of the dramedy, Kirk has a grand total of…drum roll please…62 jobs! SIXTY TWO JOBS!

Of those 62, seven are merely attempts at jobs — you can’t really be a wedding photographer for a wedding that doesn’t take place (Thanks, Max and Lorelai!) — and only five take place more than once. The dude has got varied skills. Season four takes the cake for the most jobs in a single season with a total of 12.

We watched all the episodes of Gilmore Girls so you don’t have to, and made a list of ALL of Kirk’s jobs throughout the run of the show. You’re welcome.
