Cher Says Donald Trump “A F*cking Idiot” Who “Doesn’t Give A Sh*t About The Work”

If you’ve been following Cher on twitter, you know that the iconic singer and actress is not a fan of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Throughout the election cycle, she has repeatedly slammed him on the social media platform. She’s argued against his politics, slammed his rhetoric, and mocked his affection for Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Well, Cher made a more public stand this weekend. The Hollywood Reporter writes that she gave a speech in Provincetown, R.I. in support of Hillary Clinton — whom she called “genuine” and “tougher than Chinese algebra” — where she explained why she felt Donald Trump and Mike Pence were dangerous for America.

Cher was addressing a crowd full of members of the LGBT community and said to them: “I’m so frightened for what’s going to happen to this particular community. I know there’s going to be other people, other minorities that are going to be totally screwed as well, but I honestly fear for your safety.”

The speech (which you can watch on Facebook here) includes many personal anecdotes about why Cher feels so deeply for the LGBT community — “We have had each other’s back for 50 years. I’ve actually had your back since I was 9!” — but it’s getting attention for the barrage of insults she lobbed at Trump. Here are a few gems:

  • “He doesn’t mean we want to ‘Make America Great Again.’ He means: We want to make America straight and white.”
  • “He wants the adulation, he doesn’t give a shit about the work.”
  • “I just wish he would fall off the face of the earth,”
  • “I just think he’s a f—ing idiot.”

At one point she also attempted to compare Trump to another world leader, but thought that neither Hitler nor Boris Johnson fit the bill. Instead she decided he was like “Patty McCormack in The Bad Seed.” That’s right: Cher thinks Donald Trump is like a psychotic narcissistic little girl in a campy ‘50s horror film.

Your move, Trump. What have you to say to the Oscar-winning star of Moonstruck now?
