Okay, bear with us: The world of Outlander is full of dazzling romance, time travel, and globe-trotting. Although most of the action takes place in Scotland and France, another magical city gets a shout out in the second season premiere. That would be the eternally romantic town of Boston, Massachusetts.
If you caught the second season premiere, you’ll know that two of our favorite characters wind up traveling to this famous city. With that in mind — and considering that Outlander‘s stars have an innate talent for foreign languages and sensuous accents — we thought it would be fun to hear Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan give us their best Boston brogue.
You’ll notice that Sam and Caitriona were all too eager to comply, but what about their co-star Tobias Menzies? We’re sorry to say that he was so thoughtful answering our other questions that we ran out of time. Later, we met him during a break and joked that he was spared sharing his Boston accent. His cheeky response? “I wouldn’t have given it to you!”
