New month means new titles, which means some movies on Netflix streaming get pushed out. The streaming giant is well aware that this September, a ton of favorites are leaving, and Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos even released a statement over the weekend as to why. In short, Netflix’s contract with Epix movies is set to expire, and the platform has chosen not to renew its agreement, causing hit films like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and World War Z to leave Netflix indefinitely. But in exchange for those movies, Netflix will release their own original backings later this fall, including Keith Richards: Under the Influence, out this September, and Cary Fukunaga’s Beasts of No Nation in October. While you may miss those aforementioned flicks you love so much, chances are it isn’t goodbye forever. In the meantime, see what titles you should make your way through while you still have them in your list.
